Getting Crazy!

I see that Taylor Made is now going to release wedges with changable faces! Say what?

    Tp-composite-320x720

Not sure about you, but this one sounds very iffy to me.

While TaylorMade  makes some great clubs, I would have to play a wait and see game with this one. Time will tell and the proof will be in the Pro division. If they start using it with a lot of success then it will be accepted. I'll wait and see. I still am going to stay with my Titleist Scotty Cameron Spin MIlled wedges regardless of what they do.

Not a big fan of that idea, leaves too much for potential problems with the changing grooves criteria

  •

I can see that becoming this generations "Hammer" driver.  LOL

That can't possibly adhere to the club head well enough to stay in for a couple years.  I bet you it comes loose and the wedge is then useless.  Maybe it can act like a spring on the ball when it gets loose and give you that extra yard you need.  Ha-ha.

I'm sure this won't get passed the tour players.  Will always  be a flopped prototype.

Too gimmicky for me.....nice shots though.

Sounds a little "gimmickie" Also lets say you're 120 yds out and the last shot was from 80. Do we wait for you to change faces ? And what if you lost your tool. I've also encountered the loose screw phenomenom. This is with a T.M. driver where one or more of the weighting screws has loosened and it sounds like.........you have a screw loose. Good luck selling this one, maybe if they offer a free bowl of soup.

you think that's crazy, check out this patent from 1915

Under the rules of golf you wouldn't be able to change face during a round. The same with the adjustable weight drivers, you can not change the weights during a round. I surprised TaylorMade would come out with a club like this.

once again id say they are relying on gimmicks to sell golf clubs.  Ill take my Vokeys any day of the week!

Well, this wouldn't really be an issue to be honest.  You are not changing the loft of the club, just the face plate so if you use the same club from 120 as you did 80, you wouldn't be changing anything unless you feel you need a new face plate to minimize wear?! :)

The rest is true though, doesn't sound like a winner to me.

Didn't know Cameron made wedges for Titleist now?!  I think you meant Bob Vokey! =)
