NATIONAL GOLF LIBERATION DAY

NATIONAL GOLF LIBERATION DAY

  •

I am glad everyone likes the "Go Play Golf Post" so much. So next Friday September 18 is going to be for all of us National Golf Liberation Day. Skip work go play golf. Even you Footjoy guys. But we need pledges so post if you plan to call in sick (or call in well, doesn't work very well most bosses do not have a sense of humor) leave early, or just don't show up or quit.

I will keep tabs of everyone who plans to skip work and go play that Friday then by close of business Monday post your score. i think we should have a drawing and the winner will get some kind of dinky worthless  prize that we can pass around until the next time we decide to have a NATIONAL GOLF LIBERATION DAY

I BHOLLEY pledge to sneak out of work early at 11:15 Friday September 18 and go play golf!!!!

I like it.  It will be a goal of mine but I have skipped out early the last two Fridays to go play.  Three in a row is possible I suppose.

Being retired I don't have to take a day off work, unless it is one of those honeydos. But this coming Friday we will out of town and camping up in Iowa. There is a course where we camp and I definitely will be on the links and let you know what my score was.

Hopefully a lot of the guys will take the day off and you'll have a great turnout.

I don't have a problem honoring this "special" day.

Look for my score on my posting either late Friday night or Saturday.

You're quitting at 11:15 Friday?  I may send in an application! :) Just kidding.

Friday, I will leave work by 2:00PM to play golf.

Kelly you are right perhaps I will quit before I leave or I could just phone my resignation in from the course

Don't need to quit on Friday, but will play anyway. Retirement is my only job and those incessant Honeydos. Will let you know the score.

Okay, here's my results from today. I have a 14 Handicap and shot a 78, 8 over for the course I was on. Great weather along with great friends and you can't beat that. I guess that the lessons I am taking are beginning to pay off.

And if it is your wife, just make sure you have your lawyers name handy in case of the big "D".

    Just kidding,

I went and left work yesterday at noon to enjoy my Golf liberation Day. Today I am doing some work, so no go for me. But I am there with all of you in spirit!

Was able to get through 14 holes before darkness called it a night for me.  Was 4 under, wish I could have finished though.

I did leave work early and played a quick nine before having to referee some hockey games in a local youth tournament.

Great idea, glad I left work, it felt great.
