Comeback Player of the Year

Comeback Player of the Year

Who will be the comeback player of the year?. My guess would be Tiger. Any others do you think are in the running?

I just don't see Tiger as a "Come Back" Player.  I normally see this as someone who missed a whole year or maybe more.  Someone that once was good and then struggled due to injury or something else.  Finally they put it all back together and have agreat year.  Tiger won multiple times including a US Open on a bad leg.  Took 8 months off and then won 5/6 times the next year.  He normally does nto play that much after the Tour Championship any way.

That said, I am not sure who I would vote for.  I know that DD played well starting the year.  However, not sure what happen to him lately.

I'd agree.  Since the surgery and such a long recovery period.

Maybe Watson for his great performance at the British will get his some head way.

after the surgery and missing as many tournaments as tiger had, then coming back on to the tour as strong as he has, he truely looks like the comeback kid.

could you imagine it, player and comeback player of the year tied up together by one player.

     Agreed

It would to tough to award someone for having what anyone else would be 2 consecutive career years.

I can understand saying someone, Tiger, is the comeback player of the year after a surgery and layoff, but he really didn't miss a beat.  He won the event before his surgery and he won right after his surgery.  I've had that surgery and I know it's a tough rehab, but come on, there was no letdown from Tiger.  At least give comeback player to someone who wasn't a winner or lost his tour card and had to make a comeback.   I think Stricker won it a couple of years ago after many lean years on tour.  I'm a big Tiger fan, but really the guy didn't necessarily have a lean year.

I can't see TW winning this but technically he is considered to be on a comeback.

While I think comeback makes me think it is someone that truely disappeared from golf for some time, as much coverage of TW's surgery, rehab, practice and finally his reappearance to the tour it seemed as if he was never gone

I realize that Tiger "came back" from a surgery, but I agree that it should go to someone who has "fallen off" then come back
