man, what in the world happened to this guy? has it already been seven plus years since he won the U.S. open? On the Masters telecast they just said he has had ten top ten finishes in majors. They also mentioned the wicked temper he had in his 20s. Now that seems odd because he seems like a mild-mannered bloke.

It takes a lot of mental strength besides athletic talent to make it on tour. Some just rise and continue to improve. Others do not. Ogilvy seems to have peaked.

He seemed to be back on the leaderboards early in the past season.  Let's see if he can keep it together in 2014.

Kinda like a Duval deal where his game just leaves him , the guy used to be great on the green's . Still young enough that he has time for a return to the top 50 or so.  The amazing turnaround performed by Steve Stricker  can give a guy like Ogilvy hope.

I think Ogilvy is a little different. Sure, he had some success early on...but Duval was number 1 in the world and along with Vijay and Ernie are the only guys who ever gave TW any real head to head competition.

I often think the money and lifestyle might make some of these guys soft. All that cash, time with the family, show up every week and maybe there isn't a lot of fire in the belly.  Can you imagine being that wealthy and being able to spend that much time with your family. That'll spoil most people.

He's looked pretty good this week at the Australian Masters. Hopefully he can get that spark going. He says he's close.

Duvall had back injuries and vertigo.  Then he was more interested in family and lost the edge.

DD was on page 1 of the leaderboard after the first round at the  Mayakoba. He seems to be trying hard to get back but can't seem to string together 4 rounds.

I guess he credits his -4 in Rnd to switching back to his Scotty putter...Rory are your listening ;)

golf is definitely a game of confidence and edge...a strong work ethic also helps...

Hope to see both Ogilvy and Duval in the winner's circle again someday soon...their both very good guys...
