BTW Shaun, you know you always have a standing invite to visit me here any time you want. Our fall is a bit different, as is spring!
On a more serious tangent..... I was thinking this morning about this post and fall golf when I lived in different parts of the country. When I lived in Chicago and Michigan, playing when their was a bit of chill in the air was invigorating. And looking at the fall leaves against the blue skies was always a really special treat. In North Carolina it meant that the humidity was down and once the sun rose, you had some truly wonderful shirt sleeve weather.
The thing I always remember most about fall golf was the smell. In the midwest, the crisp air always had a bit of the burning leaves aroma to it. In the south, there was the scent of pine everywhere, fresh and crisp. Those smells were so special.
