Some great ideas have been posted. In my case, I had a lot of shoulder issues and used to take ibuprofen daily to deal with the pain. A friend suggested I stretch my arms and shoulders for 5 minutes before I took a swing on the range. The first stretch is to put a club behind my right bicep, put my right hand behind the grip and use my other hand to use the club to pull my rand back, as if I were throwing a ball. Then, hold this for 45 seconds to a minute. then, stretch the left arm. This serves to stretch the the rotator cuff muscles/.tendons AND stretch the elbow muscles/tendons. Since doing this, the ibuprofen is no longer needed.
