Very interesting article and thanks girldgotgolf - You simply must refuel the brain in order fro it to work properly. And one of those key fuels for efficient operation is sleep. There was another study done ya few years ago in Minnesota with high school kids where scientists changed one variable and only one variable in the lives of these teens: When they started school each day. By starting a hour LATER than the typical time, students test scores improved noticeably - Starting the school day an hour later meant that these kids SLEPT an hour longer - hence the improvement. While sleep is critical to the proper development  of the brains of teens, it stands to reason it si important to the daily functioning of fossils like me...No more late night TV!

GGG, I count sheep fore and backwards!

Yes, true for me, it affects me in golf when I don't have enough sleep.  Most especially the consecutive days/nights without enough sleep.

Definitely true. I work overnights and sometimes go out after work.  Can see the difference in scoring compared to when I get a full nights rest then go play.
