Bad Day On The Course

It sounds like they have a gopher problem...similar to Bushwood CC. On a serious note, that would be an awful experience...walking down the fairway and then you become part of the fairway. On the bright side, at least he wasn't golfing by himself.

Are you kidding me?! We will have to start a thread chronicling the crazy things to happen on a golf course. This story is right near the top, for sure. Add this to your flood ravaged golf course photos, big sharks down under cruising the river edge bordering a golf hole, the usual lightning strikes, tornado touch downs, bears, moose, and big birds interfering with play and, of course, Pimento Cheese sandwiches wrapped in wax paper, sold for about a buck, for a week in April in Augusta, Georgia. Crazy things...

Those hidden sinkholes can really mess with your round. I hope the course comped him for a years play or something good otherwise he should find a good lawyer.

Scares me cuzz I play alone a lot of times.

At least he was not alone during his round!!!!

Saw the article in our paper, downunder. Unbelievable story. Can't imagine what it would feel like sitting in pitch black not sure whether you were going to be rescued or whether another deeper hole would open and swallow you up (shudder).
