Every one has a favorite. Caddy shack is a classic. The Legend of Bagger Vance (one of the few times when a movie was better than the book) was great but Matt Damon's swing made me wince and the script was full of errors.

But what is your favorite and see if you can add an obscure golf movie to the list?

How about "The Three Little Beers" and "Banning"

  •

Dead Solid Perfect is a pretty decent golf movie.

  •

Did anyone like "A Gentleman's Game"

  •

Caddyshack and Tin Cup are two of my favorites.  But, from an historical perspective, you have to give The Greatest Game Ever Played the nod.  That was a good movie.

    1. The Greatest Game Ever Played

    2. Caddyshack

    3. The Legend of Bagger Vance

    4. Tin Cup

    All great movies.

  •

    1. Caddyshack (can not be argued)

    2. Greatest Game Ever Played (true story, great acting, can not be argued)

    3. Tin Cup (McCord is a hoot) This one is pure laugh a minute, and you can look at Renee Russo.

    4. Happy Gilmore

Caddyshack hands down.  I have no idea how many times I have seen that movie, but it never gets old.

i've got to agree with you on this one tim, i couldn't remember the full title myself, all i could get was The Greatest Game

Greatest Game Ever Played is probably the best/most accurate from a historical perspective, but like so many others, Caddyshack is the one that I could watch every day of the week.

  •

Caddyshack without a doubt.  Myself and a few of the caddies at my course can recite it word for word from start to finish, its the best!

  •

After searching the net for golf movies I came across "The Boys of Sunset Ridge". Looks like a great cast but i have never heard of it. Has anyone seen this movie

  •

I recently watched one on the Golf Channel. I think this has become one of my all time favorites Bobby Jones-Stroke of Genius.

  •

Caddyshack has to be #1, with Caddyshack 2 coming in dead last. Some movies should not have sequels made. Ton cup and Happy Gilmour were also great.
