DUI .....On a golf cart.

  •
    • Mick Brown, the drummer for rocker Ted Nugent, lost his driver’s license for 90 days and was given a $1,000 fine for hijacking a golf cart to take a boozy joy ride through a Maine town in July.

    Wow, that sucks.

I remember growing up and hearing about a guy from my town (who worked construction) getting a DUI, losing his license and using a giant front end loader to get around town.

Maybe he had the "cat scratch fever"

maybe if he had kept it on the course it wouldn't have been as big of a deal.  only fear there would be getting stuck in a ditch.  and you don't need to be drunk for that to happen.

haha I always find these stories funny

Actual story from a small Southern town in the 60's. Man was intoxicated and decided to ride his mule into town to go to the local bar. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated but  the charge was dismissed because he was not operating a motorized vehicle. The judge an animal lover however found him guilty of animal abuse giving him a sentence far worse than the DUI would have been. The man's attorney had settle for the mule as payment  because the poor man was somewhat in between pay checks.

Don't forget there are towns that have golf cart paths and encourage citizens to purchase and use golf carts to move within the incorporated limits.  And they are not limited to Sun City(ies) or The Villages in Florida.  DUI is DUI, regardless of the conveyance.

Was it a Club Car or an EZ Go?

That is pretty funny.  Was the cop hiding behind the bunker with a radar gun?

I'm pretty sure that George Jones (the country music legend) was arrested and given a DUI for riding his lawn mower around Beaumont,  Texas while intoxicated. If I remember correctly; his wife hid his car keys and he rode the lawn mower to the ABC store.
