I keep seeing the logo overrun version of this ball in Golfsmith and on Golfballs.com, but I can't find anything about them on the Titleist website.  Anybody ever use them?  Are they worth trying out?  Are they legit?  Thanks.

Same as the GranZ?  I found those in yellow, bought a dozen and learned they are for slooooowwww swing speeds.  They look sweet but don't go anywhere off the tee.

I believe that they are a Japanese release.

They were a Japanese release, and are listed as conforming on the USGA website. I believe with 332 dimples they are similar to the NXT series balls.

VG3 is a ball made for the Japanese market.

Different ball than any other ball Titleist makes? Or does it compare to one?

  •

A little different. I have one at home, will post a picture later today.

i agree with parthur...they play like the nxt series...in talking to the golfsmith people that is what they tell me

  •

It is a bit harder feeling cover than the XNT/NXT Tour. Hard to describe, but the word "plasticy"comes to mind.

Parthur has it right.  A NXT equivalent.

  •

all of you are right they are just the japanese version of the nxt in yellow

But VG3 is more than just a Titleist ball model, is a complete line of products balls, irons, driver, woods, etc. All of this for the japanese market.
