Rhode Island CC

I thought everyone might want to see a few photos from the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy at the Rhode Island Country Club.  I could see a two trees down (one on the left side of the Par 5 8th hole, and another in between the Par 3 10th and Par 5 11th.  Lots of leaves on the course, but that is to be expected.  Other than that, it looked great!

Here are are couple of photos of the course for you:

The 18th tee area the practice range.  The 16th tee and 15th green can be seen in the forefront.

Here is a photo looking down the 18th fairway towards the tee box.  The range looked very wet...

Looking at the final 4 holes from near the 18th green.

Not sure why the other photos did not come out, but I will post them separately...

Doesn't look bad at all, hope all is well!

    Great track!

Great, glad you are out and about.  Best of all your golf course is in great shape.

  •

Glad nothing terrible has happened.  Nice looking course, good job.

Glad course is good, but also glad people are safe. Couple of my friends on are on the East coast and are currently waiting it out with no power. They have a small generator which they can charge phones and laptops but cell service has been spotty for them. Last I hear they had watched like 20 movies on their laptop haha.

Thanks for sharing. We all know first hand about how well the course can stand up to a storm. Glad that the course is still in great shape and glad that everyone seems ok.

it doesnt look like it was damaged bad after that

If Devin can pull it off, I would like to personaly come up and check each and every hole for possible damage? I will even volunteer to check the speed of the greens and takes the bunkers when done. Can I get some help on this? I will need at least thrEe volunteerS.

After watching some images on TV from other place, this doesn't look so bad.

  •

I volunteer to assist you, Paul.  Would love to have a beautiful fall day to ensure that RICC is in top notch condition.

  •

The weather looks nicer than the FJAI Todd!  Good to see that RICC came through the storm, hopefully all of the people in the area are doing well also :-)

A few towns in Southern Rhode Island(on the coast) really got slammed but the rest of us came through in decent shape.

Glad to see that some folks and courses made the cut without too much damage.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those severely affected by the storm.
