It's a pleasure to "travel" in this site. Great job is all I can say.

Greetings all.  So glad that you are liking it so far.  I wanted to warn folks that the community might be bumpy over the next 24 hours or so as we try to work out the remaining issues.  First, of course, is the slowness, but we are also looking into why some ambassadors were demoted in the process.

Also, there is a new "Help" page, the link is in the header.  If there is something that you cannot find or just want to see what is available, I would encourage you to take a look.

Once the community is settled, we have additional features "on deck" that we hope to roll out in the weeks to come.

    Best,

    -Denise

Thanks for the info Denise. I know this whole process is a lot more complicated than we know. I'm sure you all will have it all sorted out soon. Will be looking forward to the new stuff "on deck".  Good Luck!

Would have liked to have been there, but my wife had knee replacement surgery two weeks ago. Fortunately, this knee is doing really well, much better than her other knee. If there is another FJAI next year, I'll be there. Hope you can make it as well. Have you heard there is supposed to be a spinoff series of the H.G. Wells character from Warehouse 13?

That is great news about your wife's surgery. I hadn't heard about the spinoff. She is a great character.

I probably won't be at the next one. I was only at this one because it was local.

I loved all the Lara Croft references in the Warehouse 2 episode.

    Denise,

I really like the new site as I've used it more since returning from Providence.  One item I found that has come in handy as I've been posting photos is the "edit" tool.  One of my photos did not make it in initially, so I edited the post and re-inserted it.  Cool update.

Love the look, thanks for all the hard work to keep the improvements coming.

What is the background photo of? What course? Does anyone know?

I do, but Devin talked about making it into a contest... Devin?

The new avatar pixels are 75 x 75 per Denise if anyone is curious on resizing their photo to "fit" the window.

a few things i'd like to see, first (and most important to me), a way to go to the last thread from the main forum page.  and/or see who started and who last replied on thread from the main forum page.  also would be nice to be able to click on a person's profile pic and see it bigger.  that way it's easier to continue to connect faces with names and profile names.

    Tim,

"'last thread from the main forum page" -- do you mean going to the last page in a thread from the Discussions page? Or do you mean the last thread that was created in the entire forum?

For the main forum page, we debated whether we should add more information or just give a brief listing of what the new conversations are. We landed on showing just the titles. It is hard to know if it would be more interesting if it were really showing the right stuff. Right now, because of an issue in the Platform, it is a list of threads that were most recently posted to and not the most recent threads to have been started.  I'll regroup with Devin and Chris on that one.

We have heard and added to our feature list the ability to click through to a larger picture for the Avatar.  I couldn't agree more.  I can't tell you how many time I have clicked on it and expected it to work that way.

    Thanks!

    -Denise
