The best golf company in the golf world????

  •

just wondering, what do you think is the best company is??? take into consideration website, clubs and anything else that comes to mind

Over the years I have dealt with any number of companies. Listing those who I feel are the best, well SC Johnson Co. is one who comes thru and is one of the tops in my book. Now going to golf related, Acushnets' 2,  being FootJoy And Titleist. I don't know who makes the selections for personnel, but every time I have dealt with these two , the response they make goes outside the norm. The people at FootJoy and Titleist have made my golfing experience more enjoyable just by being courteous and going the extra mile. This can also be said of SC Johnson Co. It is companies like these that always are winners because they actually care about their customers. And the compliment about the Acushnet subsidiaries is not because I am now involved with FootJoy. It is related to my dealings with them over the years that my admiration for them was earned.

for longevity, quality of customer service and quality of product I'd have to say FJ.  While Adidas/Taylor Made seem to be throwing lots of money into product, people and apparel time will tell if they can sustain as long as FJ has.

for my money, I'm staying with FJ

We're all certainly biased on this one....Titleist/FJ certainly the quality leader in my books.  I think that there are more companies making a VERY good product today than ever (for example I felt that the early Nike golf clubs were pretty bad to be honest, but now they make a really nice product).  For longevity, FJ/Titleist for sure, but others are getting closer to their quality, just don't have the golf heritage.

Definately the Acushnet Co. The 3 brands that comprise Acushnet are all leaders in product depth and customer service. Compared to othe golf companies, they are unmatched.

  •

I agree with Eagle, Acushnet is far and away the best golf products company.  Ping has always been a helpful company to schools and junior programs.

And all of us being members of the FJ community just helps to prove the point.

FJ has been great, have to say they are #1 for me. Tayolor Made is also getting up there.

    rKickers.... an interesting thought.

To set context, I am a Club Cameron Member ('05), a member of the Callaway Golf Advisors Staff, FJ Ambassador, and passionate brand guy! If I find something I like, and it exceeds my expectations, I'm in for life. That said...

Scotty Cameron set the bar I think. Since my involvement in '05 they have gone way beyond mere customer satisfaction. I even had a time when the work wasn't what I expected, and Scotty got back to me right away to set it right. That's customer satisfaction to the max. The site is maintained and updated regularly, and there is always interesting stuff to see. You should also know that all my computers have screen savers from Scotty's image library!

The Callaway group has been quite interesting really. I use their irons, and have been very vocal on their site with thoughts on things like balls and shoes. Frankly, I have only had one response back from them, and it was when I got a hole in one. Then I got a nice  note and plaque. Their site gets irregular updates, and I have never gotten a direct inquiry from them about anything, even though I am registered with clubs and other items on their site.

Addidas is the one that impresses me. They just redid their entire site, though I'm not sure to what end. It looks slick, and it really has some nice touches. Why I say I'm not sure about their intent is that they are getting so big that it's unsure where they are going, just like Nike. I do not (now or ever) but anything Nike. I see them as a basketball company frankly, so not an item ever has made it's way into my bag or on my back.

For all things golf and especially considering longevity it is hard to beat the Acushnet family

  •

If it is not the Titleist brands then I would give a the folks at Karsten Manufacturing a round of applause.  Adidas/Taylormade doesn't seem to place much emphasis in customer service or building rapport with customers.

  •

As for products I have used I would have to say FJ. I've tried other shoes, but FJ have been the most comfortable out of the box and needed no break in period. I have different brands of clubs in my bag, but only FJ on my feet. It seems now all golf companies, Addidas/Taylormade, Ping, Srixion, are coming out with new websites.

Hands down id say Acushnet.  They have TItleist, Cobra, FootJoy and Pinnacle.  They have the golfer covered from top to bottom with quality products.

  •

Acushnet is my one and only.  Have tried numerous products from other companies and found myself at home with Titleist/FJ (I don't have any Pinnacle or Cobra gear).

thanks to all who gave feedback

I would say Acushnet is the best OVERALL company in golf.  They have so many top notch products.  I still feel that Nike is the worst company in golf.  I am just not a big fan of their apperal or shoes for golf.  I must say I was suprised at how nice the new Victory irons felt.
