National Coffee Day September 29th

  •

Finally something I think we can all agree on.

    How do you like yours?

I like mine black and by the gallon!

  •

I like mine strong, in small quantities and about 2x a day.  And it better taste good or I'll pass.

  •

Coffee.....Black and strong.....love the smell of it in the morning...but as you get older....wooo....the Dr strongly suggested that I cut way way back on my consumption a few years ago, so I went cold turkey.......like Mark I loved it strong and I drank it by the gallon.....like Phil cutting back on his playing schedule, your health comes first........at least I can celebrate and "stop and smell the coffee".....cz  : )

I actually dislike coffee.  I get my caffeine elsewhere (usually Coke Zero).

I used to live on Mt Dew when I was working two jobs (many times burning the candle at both ends due to scheduling) but I had to get away from that a few years back, it just wasn't appealing anymore.

I'll take mine black as well...and lots of it!

Coffee is a life-giving force. Our regular Saturday morning five-some has to hit the local coffee establishment before hitting the course.

    I LOVE coffee!

Great online sources for coffee beans: http://www.terroircoffee.com/  and http://www.intelligentsiacoffee.com/ andhttp://gorillacoffee.com/ and http://www.bluebottlecoffee.com/

The first site offers excellent varieties and rather *** coffees - Sort of the very high end of the coffee market. Expensive, but worth it! Intelligentsia is a Chicago-based roaster with great coffees at reasonable prices. One of my favorites. Gorilla and Blue Bottle are roasters in Brooklyn, NY - I've purchased coffee from these two roasters as well and always liked their beans and roasting technique. All of these companies offer exceptional quality and all also offer roasts that range in strength and color. None of them produce a Starbucks-like deep roast that to some palates tastes too cooked or burnt.

There many, many roasters around the country and these are my favorites. I love the ritual of grinding my own beans and brewing coffee in the morning and sometimes at night!

While I could not find an online donut company (not sure anyone would or should eat day-old donuts!), I did find a pretty tasty specialty donut bakers:

Very strong, no sugar, just a touch of 1/2 and 1/2. Or black with just a touch of Jameson.

Now that is the way to go....that is an awesome brewer.......I won one of those as a door prize at our annual Christmas party a couple of years ago for our mens golf league....traded it for a older model Scotty Newport 2.5 putter.....win win for both of us.......if I was still drinking coffee, I would have to go that route.....and bholley has the right idea also......a little Amaretta or Jamisons makes the coffee go down so much better.....I too am living on Coke Zero Cherry.......you guys just might drive me back to drinking coffee.....NOT this late in life....still have a lot of golf to play.......

I think the only thing we can all agree on is that we like FootJoy shoes! Maybe that we all like golf as well, some of us more than others. :-)

But I can't agree with you about coffee, I don't like it. Never had a cup in my life. But I do like mocha almond fudge ice cream though.
