Nice photo, Randy.  Got my first round of the year in today -- shot 81 and lost money playing Wolf ;-(.  Hope to get out tomorrow if the weather allows, but the forecasters are saying 5-8 inches of rain in on the way, along with possible tornadic conditions.  Today may be the only golf we get in this week.

First round of the year was on New Years Day, managed a 71 at Magnolia. Made one really stupid double or it would have been a pretty solid round!

I've had a couple of 2013 rounds in.  Shot a 76 on a cold windy day followed up the next day with a 70 on a sunny nice day.  Welcome to Oklahoma.

Reading all of these makes me jealous.  Still some snow on the ground, although melting, ground is still frozen.  Higher temps this week may melt some away.  Keeping my fingers crossed for maybe some golf on Sunday.

Glad to hear all of you are keeping that winter rust off.  Enjoy.....

I have my hat off to you 19hole. I would love to be able to say I "managed" a 71! For me, making one stupid double in a round would be the more likely accomplishment!! Nice going and I ma sure you'll round into form by the end of , say, the month!!

My nephew and his wife are moving to Massachusetts from Oklahoma..Maybe I should buy their place and work more on my golf game in January rather than watching instructional video and early season tourneys from Hawaii...

Had another "meeting" out in the 70 degree winter we are having.  

Short game was not in form and missed a few putts for a 74.  Better than looking at snow though.

I've gotten out a couple more times this week, as the rains have subsided and the temperatures risen to the low 70's.  Wish I could say the golf stayed as good as it was the first round of the year, but sadly that has not been the case.  Going the wrong way--too many 3-putts and poor chips have more than offset my decent driving and second shots.  Got to work on a few things already to get back to my preferred range of scoring--mid- to high 70's.

I did get a tee time for Sunday (Southeastern MA), but the course will only be open if the rest of the snow melts on time.

Was able to go out and play round one of 2013 today. To the Staffers and my friends in the cold climates, my apologies indeed.
