WinterSof- Best "Driving Gloves"

WinterSof- Best "Driving Gloves"

I am absolutely certain that our FJ team did not intend this or design for it in any way. So I'm positive that you'll all be happy to know there is an alternative use for these fine gloves that's both practical and cost effective. For the past 5 years I have used them as my winter driving gloves. Yes, that's right, my driving gloves. They fit snugly and securely, are warm when going out in the cold, and they offer great feel on the wheel while driving. They also are supple enough to allow for easy internal control management of lights, radio, i-Pod,  or other buttons or knobs in the car. Finally, with the velco adjustment on the back of the hand, they can be made tighter if necessary.

All in all, the only thing I don't recommend is brushing snow or ice, as the palms will get wet and then create cold hands and defeat the whole thing.

FJ; style and versatility in all our products!

LOL, my dad uses a pair of them for bike riding and he also wears FJ pants over his warm clothes.  He doesn't golf but he uses some of their products!

I've used my pair a couple of times for driving also -  in cold weather golf I go with the Rain Golf - just like the feel a little better -  the wintersof seem a little thick

  •

I have to agree with Hokies, I like the Rain glove better than the winter glove.

Yes but the "rain glove" is not warm!  It's virtually a regular glove except for the grip in the wet.  I think the weathersof glove is very thick as well but I don't want to get cold so I use it.  Usually I am not in cold enough weather where it matters but I don't think the rain glove keeps my hands warm in the cold conditions.

TarHeel, Thanks for the tip. Never used my winter gloves for driving. Will have to give them a tryout soon when we head out again. Never have liked cold hands and have always used unlined leather gloves for most things in the winter anyway. If the lining isn't to thick, I'll probably switch over to the FJs for winter now.

I have a great pair of thin fleece North Face gloves that I use in winter for driving, but will have to give the Winter-Sof a try. I hate bulky gloves when driving so anything that keeps the hands warm while still letting you change the radio or adjust the heat is a good thing.

The wintersof's are rather thick eagle.  You lose pretty much any "feel" you normally have but I don't think you are out there trying to shoot the course record, but keep you hands warm and feed the addiction!

going to have to get me a pair of the winter sof as its getting pretty cold and i need some driving gloves...counting on your recommendation tar heel...don't let me down...

  •

Hey Tar Heel, do the sizes run the same as the regular golf gloves?

I'm looking to buy, but wondering about sizing

  •

    Hey buddy...

If you are only using them for driving, then I would go up a size. If you dual purpose them and use them on course, then stay with the size you usually wear.

I find the palms (tacky and grippy) to be perfect for driving and yet not being bulky like regular gloves; perfect for the car.
