StaSof Stars!?

  •

I know it isn't a FootJoy glove, but you may want to try a Titleist Perma Tech. Great product and still in the Acushnet family.

Yeah, a little geek moment, but informative.

I would really recommend the SciFlex line of gloves if you are unsure of what you like.  They are one of my favorite gloves FJ produces (only beat out by the PTL recently).

Congratulation on becoming a loyalist.  You won't  be disappointed.  You have made a very good choice in golf gloves.

So the Pure Touch is the retail offering of the Star so to speak.  My pro mentioned that the StaSof Star was a thinner leather.  I am going to look into the Pure Touch in the next week or two.

    Hi Tim --

They are actually different in material and construction.  As EMKelley pointed out, both use cabretta leather, but they come from two different sources.  The finishing on the PTL gives it a thin and super soft feel, which I personally think differs from the feel of StaSof.  It all really depends on preference.   If you look out on the PGA Tour, we have a nice mix of players that prefer StaSof and a group that prefers StaSof (and a very large group that prefers SciFlex for that matter).  We feel all three gloves have distinct characteristics that provide the golfers with the ultimate choice of which glove is best for them.

    Hope this helps.

I am a loylist in  that I use only FJ gloves and have now stayed with SofJoy. I also carry WeatherSof for those rainy days. Looking forward to the PTL. I have tried the  SciFlex, but found the SofJoy better for me.
