FJ Layering... Now?

FJ Layering... Now?

Well on Saturday it was a swamp hot 92 degrees at kickoff of the University of Michigan vs. Western Michigan football clash. As I'm sure you know, it was one of the games this weekend shortened due to lightening and storms. I was drenched through at the start of the 2nd half, but my trusty FJ Polo was dry quickly once the rain stopped. But the game never finished.......

Today was another story in SW Michigan. I awoke at 5:30 for my tee time to find a nippy 52 degrees outside; a drop of 40 degrees! After some quick Facebook chatting with my buddy Beej, I rounded up my FJ Layering system for my round. Put on the Pro Dry Base Layer (32386), FJ ProDry Lisle shirt (

    wrong button!

FJ ProDry Lisle (32760), and Performance 1/2 Zip Pullover (32501) at the 8:00 AM tee time and I was warm as toast! The wind was straight out of the North at about 22-30 MPH, so the 52 degrees seemed colder. BUt not me!

Folks, I've said it since the layering system debuted in the spring, you just can't beat the comfort during the swing, the lightweight fabrics, and the overall warmth without bulk! This product line is absolute tops in the market!

You need to go out and get you some! Just sayin'.

Yup, the wind was one of the biggest factors today. I need to try this FJ layering out--I'm going to go look up all of the items you posted. I can never seem to get it right!!

We had a similar temp swing here in KY...mid 90's all last week through Sat, 80 something Sunday and then bang 62 high.  Didn;t play but I did have my FJ Rain jacket on when I was out and about......even got a compliment from a random stranger

Layer system works like a charm. Comfortable, non-restrictive, and most important effective. Supposed to play today, and the forecast is for temps in the low 70's, winds about 15-20, and 80% chance of rain. Going with a lisle (with FJ logo on collar) over the 1/2 zip pullover, and the short sleeve rain shirt. DryJoys Tour rain pants of course. Not worried in the least about being ready. Just not sure if the course will be playable with the rain....I'll update later on...

Still much too early to think about layering here in southeastern Texas, but it is good to know that those of you with the layering system have nothing but good to say about it.  May have to consider putting some of these on my Christmas wish list.

    Pulplvr,

You really should, nothing better in the market to keep you warm while not changing your swing at all. I have the full set and love each item!

Update on the golf round that was set for 9/6.  The organizers of the event has the audacity to postpone the event due to the heavy rains!  The nerve!!!  I was all set with the FJ Tour Collection and had a major advantage over most of the field - I would have been bone dry!  Instead, we are being rescheduled when these monsoons in Rhode Island stop.  I'm hoping for some cool wind so I can game the new performance sweater and still stay ahead of the competition.  I need all the help I can get at this stage of the season!
