FJ Performance Light Rain Short

FJ Performance Light Rain Short

There is an article in Golf Magazine, April 2010, page 40. They recommend wearing FJ performance light rain short, when the weather will be a mix of rain and sun. They bring up a good point, when it stops raining, the rain pants can get hot. The FJ shorts are waterproof, so they help you stay dry when it's raining and cool when the sun comes out. I didn't even know FJ made waterproof shorts. I'll have to look into this.

They also recommended a FJ DryJoys baseball cap, which is waterproof.

Grumpy... I saw this article this month as well. I'm trying to understand the whole "reason to believe" on the rain shorts right now. It seems to me that if it's raining, then I want full rain pants, even if I have on shorts. I don't like feeling the rain on my legs, so the whole shorts benefut escapes me.

I'm going to need to see them and try them on and try to understand the value proposition here a bit more.

What about a zip-off version like they have with the jacket? Could be an interesting item??

I too struggle with the value proposition of a rain short. I guess I don't have a problem with puttting rain pants on and taking them off when needed.

It's a good idea but I'd have to see what they felt like before I'd pick up a pair. It is a good point though about rain pants getting hot, that can get really uncomfortable in the humidity of the summer when showers pop up.

I love the idea and product but now I need to find them.  When it's 65+ and humid who wants to deal with rain paints when you can have waterproof / resistant shorts.  I am definitely getting a pair of these.  I have a similar pair from Kohl's Department Store's brand and when it's really hot out they dry out fast.
