Sport Windshirt vs Rain Jacket/Shirt

I'm on a budget so I really can't afford to spend $190-250 on a rain shirt or jacket, but the windshirt looks awesome. Can the windshirt handle light to moderate rain (I know it's rain resistant and not waterproof)? And, how does the thickness compare versus the rain jacket/shirt. I don't like to be restricted when playing.

Yes...I use them all the time...in another post I mention having 15 or so...long sleeve, short sleeve, vest...they are definitely good in light to moderate rain and will also keep you warm when cold and properly layered...
