IJP Gear

    All

I wanted to add some insights to this post since I saw firsthand the IJP line of pants, shirts, hats, and sweaters yesterday at Doral. Key takeaways:

Quality- every piece is top shelf for sure. The fabric feels just great and no one would be disappointed with the fit, feel or finish of any garment.

Fit- I tried on one pair of shorts that was a size 40 waist. It did not fit me (too large), and I'm about a 36-37 waist (no comments please). That was the only size they had close to mine to try, so I'm still going to defer you all to Chris G.'s prev ious post.

Costs- At Doral these products were grossly over priced, and shorts were $100, pants between $185 and $325 for Tartans. Sweaters were over $200. This stuff is not for the timid, so probably staying with a purchase through IJP on line store.

Belts- Very high quality leather, but I didn'y look at the costs (sorry, pressed for time).

One thing we might consider is seeing if our FJ alliance could allow some kind of "Ambassador's Buy" thing and go direct.

OK, today I got my IJP design shorts. OMG, they are awesome.

I ordered size 38 waist, and they fit just right. Depending on cut and manufacturer, I'm somewhere between a 36-38 inch waist, so these seem fairly true.

As for the quality, they are just as Chris G said, top shelf. The fabric is great, and the tartan style is so nice. There are several styles on the IJP web site now on sale. Please note shipping to the USA is about $35, but these came via DHL is about 3 days! Well worht that cost. Get your card out! I am considering a couple pairs of pants right now....

Hokies.... this is all about you brother!
