NFL logo hats?

  •

Chris, now that FJ has NFL logo shoes, do you have any knowledge of any NFL logo hats? I have the Titleist Cub hats but would love to see a Green and Gold FJ/Titleist Packer hat.

    Any chance?

I think that would be a question for the other side of the Acushnet family (Titleist)?  But  if they have an agreement you may see the hats start coming?

    fishbone,

Titleist does not offer NFL hats, only golf balls at this point. Sorry. I would love to get a Titleist lid with the new (old) Pat the Patriot logo!

Thanks, Just so the "Mother Ship" knows that the interest is there if they ever wanted to go down that path.

Very surprised at that response Chris.  Is it a licensing thing because Titleist has college logo'd hats and baseball hats just surprised no NFL.

I think it might be a licensing thing, because TaylorMade has NFL hats.

No doubt Taylormade has some kind of deal with the NFL that would make it difficult for Titleist to do the same.

Id love a Titleist Green Bay Packers hat, but Im very happy with my Titleist Wisconsin Badgers and Milwaukee Brewers hats, so no complaints.

It is very expensive to have NFL rites to use trademarked logos on things, I'm sure that is why Titlesist has not pursued this avenue, Colleges are much easier and less expensive to do as well as more popular.  More people buy college logo items because of the school or one of many sports teams they follow, NFL is limited to the people who like a certain team within one sport.  Its all marketing analysis

Every time a company wants to use any Pro or College logo or critter, they must contact the owner and pay a fee that is many times exorbitant. In the case of many colleges, the NCAA and the team both have a say in the licensing agreement. With the pro teams, each team may agree to certain licensing terms that must be followed and then they also get a percentage of the sales proceeds on top of the fee to use the logo. I don't blame Titleist for staying out of that mess as much as possible. As to Mondo's statement that more college team logo things are purchased, I don't necessarily agree, as unlike pro sports teams, they are localized to the most extent, where pro team support is more national. I could be wrong, but I have seen more pro team logo gear from different teams all over the US that is not localized like the colleges. Not to say of course thatmany colleges have their fanatics.
