Greetings from the biggest event on the European Tour Calendar in Dubai!

This week's event is from Jumeirah Golf Estates.

The Greg Norman designed Earth course measuring at just over 7700 yards will be a stern test for the limited field. Perhaps the most challenging hole comes at the end, with a rock-lined stream meandering up the middle of the fairway on this long par-5, which gently climbs to the final huge and undulating green. A finishing hole that could potentially play a big part in the final outcome.

You might be forgiven thinking isn’t December the month where we are supposed to put our feet up and reflect on the golfing year?

Well you’re wrong as The European Tour reaches what promises to be a thrilling climax this week at the Dubai World Championship.

The scene is set for a showdown between FJ loyalist’s Rory McIroy (FJ Sport and Pure Touch Glove) and Luke Donald (FJ ICON).  Rory can still win the Race to Dubai - First prize is £793,298, however Luke Donald needs 'only' to finish in the top nine to put the icing on a magnificent season's work. Luke Donald believes completing an historic money list double in Dubai this weekend will be his greatest achievement in golf.

'If it works out on Sunday it will be my biggest accomplishment,' said Donald

Should Donald hold off Rory McIlroy for the European Tour crown, the world No 1 will be able to dedicate it to his late father.

Rhys Davies has become a big fan of the XPS-1 shoe since its tour launch this summer and continues to tout the stability it gives him throughout his game. Earlier this week, he mentioned how much he likes the shoe when playing sand shots as it gives him such a firm platform.

Elsewhere on the shoe front Lee Westwood continues to search for the best FJ option to help with his on-going and nagging Achilles injury. This week, he ordered another pair of FJ Sport (53102) which he should be wearing this weekend.

Hoping for a strong finish to what has been a successful season FJ ambassador Rafa Cabrera Bello graced us with his presence at the FJ media trip in Abu Dhabi. Rafa was on hand to showcase a selection of products from the 2012 line. It was also the first opportunity for Rafa to try on some of the new apparel range. Keep your eyes peeled for a sneak peek of what’s to come from FJ.

With the final result still hanging in the balance, whichever of the two challengers lift up The Race to Dubai trophy come Sunday afternoon, he will definitely be striding up 18th Fairway in the #1 Shoe in Golf.
