— From Guy Smith, Acushnet Company European Tour Rep

After last weeks wet and windy conditions, the players were greeted by more wind at Wentworth, (the venue for the BMW PGA Championship) and the odd shower, so the rainwear was back on for the practice days. Titleist and FootJoy staff player, Martin Erlandsson could be seen wearing the FootJoy Sport rainshirt in orange, whilst past winner of this tournament, Anders Hansen wore a short sleeve version in white and orange. Fingers crossed the sun will come out for the tournament days!

FootJoy shoe wearer Lee Westwood will be looking to challenge this week along with Henrik Stenson who is fresh from his victory at the Players Championship. Henrik was wearing the new FootJoy SYNR-G shoe whilst Lee could be seen sporting a pair of Custom Classics. Stenson also collected a special pair of custom SYNR-G shoes for the week ahead. Another player back on home soil for the week is FootJoy Classic wearer Luke Donald.

FootJoy collar wearers David Horsey, Rafael Cabrera-Bello, Mark Foster, Michael Hoey and Steve Webster are all in the field this week and have all be working hard on the range during the practice days. Rafael and Michael were in the new SYNR-G shoes whilst the other plays put their trust and their feet in FootJoy Classics.

Are there plans to bring this new line of outerwear to the public?

Hi Elliot. Thanks for your comment. All of the FootJoy outerwear you see in these photos is currently available as part of our European line. Check out http://www.footjoy.co.uk to see all the products.

We also have a U.S. line of outerwear, featuring the new DryJoys Tour Collection, which you can see at http://www.footjoy.com. You’ll notice a distinct difference in taste and cut between the two collections, reflecting the preferences of each market.

Hope this helps.

Chris,

Thanks for the response. I have the DryJoys Tour Collection jacket with the open bottom. Are there any plans to bring a short sleeve rain shirt with an open bottom to retail?

Hi Elliot. In fact, we currently offer an open bottom DryJoys Tour Collection Short Sleeve Rain Shirt in black (style #34804) and navy (style #34888). I actually have the black one and love it!

Find your nearest FootJoy dealer here:

www.footjoy.com/.../dealerlocator.asp

Hope this helps.

They are not online are they?

Unfortunately, Elliott, they are not shown online. They are solid color, no piping, virtually identical to style #34895 except with the open bottom construction.

I agree with breakingpar but the only thing is me being a smaller gentleman it's always hard to find smaller sizes that fit me comfortable enough to play in so right now I use my Air Force Track Suit as outerwear but I am searching for my size in FJ. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
