You may consider it a stretch to think about the tongue of a shoe as an important component that delivers actual benefits. However, think back to shoes you've had where the tongue would wander off to the side or was too thick or too thin and caused discomfort on the top of your foot. With over 150 years of shoe making experience, we have learned that every component, every material and every stitch in making a golf shoe is critical to the overall comfort and performance. The SnugFit tongue does what a tongue is supposed to do, and maybe a little bit more. It is designed with various materials and densities to conform to the top of your foot and provide better fit, comfort and protection. It also includes MicroVent™ technology for enhanced breathability.Did You Know…you should have a thumbs width between the top two eyelets of a laced golf shoe? More than a thumbs width, the shoe is likely too small/narrow; Less than a thumbs width, the shoe is likely too big/wide.

We would like to invite you to experience the next innovation from FootJoy over the coming weeks…piece-by-piece from the inside out! To create the most feature-laden golf shoe in our storied history, every material and component was carefully considered in order to deliver a shoe with lightweight stability, a precise fit, and superior feel. Not to mention all-weather performance, durability and premium, sleek, athletic styling! 3D FoamCollar™
Surrounding the ankle with a material that is well-cushioned and molds to your ankle provides a more precise and comfortable fit by locking the ankle in place. This is important because any movement of the foot within the shoe can lead to a reduction of power as well as discomfort. The 3D FoamCollar™ in this shoe will mold to your ankle for ideal fit, comfort and support.
Did You Know….more than 80% of people wear the wrong size shoe? Additionally, internal testing has proven that wearing the wrong size shoe can lead to a decrease in power.

Next Generation Spikeless Golf Shoe Performance
(Fairhaven, MA) - FootJoy, the #1 Shoe in Golf, introduces the all-new DryJoys Casual performance spikeless golf shoe. DryJoys Casual is a natural extension of the storied DryJoys® footwear line, designed for the player who values an on-and-off course shoe yet still demands Tour-level comfort, support, and stability in golf footwear.
A new proprietary polymer outsole material called Fine Tuned Foam™ (FTF) was developed for the DryJoys Casual outsole unit. FTF is 10% lighter than conventional EVA Foams providing enhanced cushioning and shock absorption for added comfort. DryJoys Casual’s innovative design features two distinct layers of varying densities of FTF, each with specific characteristics. These FTF layers are fused together to deliver comfort and create the most performance-driven spikeless outsole from FootJoy. The top layer of FTF is softer to provide the golfer with all day comfort. The lower/outer portion of FTF if firmer and gives the player perimeter stability around the foot for maximum support. Finally, TPU skeletal traction strips are embedded within the FTF outsole material to provide the golfer with enhanced traction and lateral stability during the golf swing.
“Years of research have gone into the development of the FTF material,”says Mike Foley, Director of Product Management, FJ Footwear. “The result is a category of shoes that are luxuriously soft and comfortable but perform like nimble, high-end athletic footwear. It was this combination of comfort and performance that attracted Hunter Mahan who was the first player to wear DryJoys Casual shoes on Tour, unveiling an early prototype at the Open Championship.”
DryJoys Casual shoes feature Extreme Comfort Leather™(ECL), developed in conjunction with Pittards®of England. This super-soft premium leather contains a proprietary membrane-free waterproofing system and is 30% softer than previous generations of FJ performance leather.
DryJoys Casual will be initially available in three different color options. - White - Black - Dark Brown
Availability: December 15, 2013 for White and Black. Dark Brown will be available February 1, 2014.
Four additional colors will be added to the DryJoys Casual lineup in early Spring.
Ten time PGA Tour winner and Masters Champion Zach Johnson is no stranger to closing the deal down the stretch of big events against the world's best players, and this weekend he did not disappoint. Four strokes down with eight holes to play, Zach Johnson birdied four of seven holes to tie for the lead heading to the eighteenth.
Then, from the middle of the fairway on the final hole of regulation, Johnson inexplicably hits his eight iron approach into the green front hazard. Recomposing himself and taking his drop at 58 yards, Johnson, who is widely regarded as one of the best with a wedge in his hands, holes out the shot to save par and force a playoff!
On the first hole of the playoff, Johnson played the 18th with much less drama, hitting the fairway, and green and two putting for a par. His playing competitor would fail to get up and down from a greenside bunker giving Zach the victory.
Zach Johnson opted for the always reliable DryJoys Tour golf shoe and StaSof golf glove during his winning performance.
On the European Tour, Fedex Cup Champion and arguably the hottest player on the planet right now, Henrik Stenson blew away the field in the World Tour Championship in Dubai. Shooting a final-round 8-under 64, that included a tap in eagle at the final hole, giving the big Swede a six stroke victory.
Stenson has now become the first player to win the Race to Dubai and the Fedex Cup in the same season.
"I have managed to do something very, very special here this week by winning both in America and the Race to Dubai," adding, "It has been an incredible Summer for me, the Autumn in America was great, and now this...It has been a dream season," said Stenson following his win.
Stenson opted for FJ ICON and Pure Touch Limited throughout his successful season on both the PGA and European Tours.
On the Australasian Tour, Masters Champion and world number two, Adam Scott continued his winning ways by winning for the second consecutive week at the Australian Masters. Last year Scott won this tournament and claimed it gave him the confidence he needed to win the green jacket a few months later.
This year on a difficult wind-swept Royal Melbourne golf course Adam Scott shot rounds of 67-66-66-71, to place him at 14-under par two clear of his closest pursuant.
“I think it’s very hard to win two tournaments full stop, let alone back to back, so I’m quite pleased with myself this week," Adam stated post round. “Sometimes you win a little bit ugly. All the good stuff I had done in the first three rounds counted for a lot, even though it wasn’t the prettiest golf today."
Adam Scott has been testing a new prototype FJ shoe and his trusted StaSof glove during his two wins in Australia.
