Stacy Lewis won the North Texas LPGA Shootout Presented by JTBC with a four round total of 16 under par, 6 clear of her nearest competitor.
Starting the day in a tie for the lead, Lewis shot a blazing 64 to runaway from the field.
Lewis stated of her stellar performance post round, "I kind of have these mini goals in the back of my mind, like a bogey free tournament or a certain number of putts, just kind of things that aren’t necessarily score related. So one of them was kind of taking a tournament and running away with it, and that’s what I’ve wanted to do it now for a year. So to be so close the last few weeks and then to come out and shoot 64, I mean I don’t even know what to say. It’s what I’ve always wanted to do, and just to do it here at home, in front of all these fans was pretty cool.”
This is Stacy's 9th career win and first of the 2014 season.
She relied on DryJoys Boa golf shoes and the StaSof golf glove.

Using what many experts are referring to as the first ‘Super Fiber,’ the StaCool powerful grip stems from an island of Nano-fiber surfaces that is able to increase friction, resulting in a more comprehensive grip.
“The Men’s StaCool glove showcases our latest advancement in delivering a product aimed at golfers who frequently play in humid conditions and suffer from the negative grip impacts such conditions can have,” commented Maria Bonzagni, Senior Director of Marketing, FJ Gloves and Accessories. “As we have seen previously with product lines such as RainGrip® & WinterSof® we pride ourselves on identifying real issues golfers face that impact performance. Matt Jones began Sunday's dreary final round in the Shell Houston Open six shots back of the leader and needed nothing short of a heroic round to have any shot at the title. Opening his final round with a bogey, the 33 year old Australian, Jones made four birdies on his front nine making the turn in three under par 33.
Still chasing the lead the entire back nine Jones birdies three of the first seven holes on the back nine to get within one of the lead. Jones made an untimely bogey at the 17th that would seem to seal his fate. Jones would not let the bogey become his undoing and proceeded to roll in a forty foot plus birdie putt on the 72nd hole of regulation to get within one of the leader back on the tee.
As luck would have it, a bogey from the leader led to a playoff. The players headed back to the 18th tee.
Jones' approach into the first playoff hole came up well short of the green leaving himself a 42 yard pitch shot to the hole. Stepping into the shot, Jones hit a low runner that tracked right at the hole and fell to the bottom of the cup for birdie. Jones' playing competitor couldn't match the birdie giving Jones the victory!
"I walked up there and told my caddy I was going to chip it in," Jones said. " You don't know if it's going to lip out, low or high, but when I saw it disappear it's probably the happiest I've been on the golf course."
The win earns Jones the last invitation to next week's Masters Tournament.
Jones relied on FJ Icon and SciFlex during Sunday's rainy final round.

Steven Bowditch battled through blustery conditions on a difficult TPC San Antonio golf course to win the Valero Texas Open. The 30 year old Australian began Sunday's final round with a three stroke lead thanks to three rounds in the sixties that placed him at 12 under par. Bowditch dropped a few shots early, but remained atop the leaderboard as his chasers also fell victim to the difficult, windy conditions. On the back nine, a birdie on the par 5 - 14th hole helped pad his lead. Heading to the final hole with a two stroke advantage, Bowditch made a bogey but it would be enough to take home his first PGA Tour win. Bowditch relied on on XPS-1 golf shoes and the StaSof golf glove all week in Texas. The win punches Bowditch's ticket to the Masters, the Players and the PGA Championship.
