FootJoy proudly announces the selection of Corey Fisk as its 2013 Sales Representative of the year. The official presentation to recognize Corey for this distinguished award took place recently at the FJ National Sales Meeting in Orlando.
A graduate of the Methodist College PGM program, Corey has been a valuable contributor to the Acushnet Company since 1999. He started on Acushnet Customer Service Team before breaking into sales as an associate Sales Rep in Arizona in 2003. From there he accepted the challenge of running his own territory in Louisianna gaining valuable experience that prepared him for his return to Arizona to follow his mentor and Arizona golf sales legend Terry LeFevre in 2009.
Over the last three years, Corey has grown his territory by 18%, 21% and 8%, respectively. He has won 7 FootJoy Gold Circle awards during his 13 year sales tenure.
“Corey works as hard as anyone in the company. His relationships run long and deep, he is driven to succeed in his professional life, and equally driven to succeed in the critical roles of father and husband. “ said Jim Morrison, Vice President, FootJoy U.S. Sales. “We congratulate Corey on this well-deserved and distinguished achievement and are proud to have him as part of the FJ sales team.”
Corey and his family reside in Chandler, Arizona.
PGA Tour Rookie, Chesson Hadley won the Puerto Rico Open in only his 13th PGA Tour start. The Georgia Tech standout captured the lead thanks for a third round 66. Stating post round, "You got to stay aggressive out here. I've learned that. For me, if I kind of take the foot off the pedal a little bit, I'll kind of lose focus and I won't be as sharp as I would like to be, so I plan on being really aggressive."
Hadley's plan for Sunday's final round was a good one, making birdies on three of his first five holes to maintain control of the tournament. Making the turn in 33, Hadley played mistake free golf the rest of the way. Adding birdies at 17 and 18 to post a four day total of 21 under par, two clear of his closest competitors.
Hadley looked to his Web.com experience the previous year to pull through on Sunday, "The two wins last year, that helps a lot because you're there, you've learned how to win, you learn how not to choke, and there's a lot going on."
The win gives Hadley a two-year tour exemption on the PGA Tour and spots in The Players Championship, PGA Championship and 2015 Tournament of Champions.
Hadley relied on the most stable shoe in the FJ line, Custom XPS-1 MyJoys golf shoes and the FJ StaSof golf glove.

Jimmy Walker held off his pursuants to take home the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am this weekend on a cold, wet, and windy day on the Monterey Peninsula.
Carrying a six stroke lead into the final round, Walker made it his tournament to win. He proceeded to card a front nine one-under par 35 to keep the big lead. On the back, Walker dropped a few shots but still got the job done by holing a par putt on the famous 18th at Pebble securing tory.
Walker relied on FJ Icon and StaSof during all four days of the inclement weather-plagued tournament.
This is Walker's third victory of the still infantile 2014 PGA Season. The win also increases his lead in the season long 2014 Fedex Cup points race.

On the European Tour, George Coetzee broke through in Johannesburg for his first Euro Tour victory. Several shots out of the lead to start the final round, Coetzee pieced together a brilliant six-under par round of 66 to win by three in his home country of South Africa.
Coetzee trusted DryJoys Casual, StaSof, and FJ Performance Apparel en route to the ground breaking victory. He is the first player on a major professional tour to win in the DryJoys Casual, the latest performance spikeless golf shoe from FJ.
Coetzee, who has recorded 24 top 25 finishes on the European tour, added post round, “I’ve been waiting a while and I started doubting, so I’m very happy...I got to share this with my family and my friends. It was my mum’s birthday yesterday and I wanted to do it for her as I forgot to buy her a present!”
