Would you buy StaSof in these colors or should we bury them? Click on COMMENTS to let us know! For over 25 years, FootJoy has been the #1 Glove in Golf. Let’s think about this for a moment… Ahhh the 80's, I was just a toddler learning how to walk, E.T.:The Extra Terrestrial was a big deal and WHAM! (Wake me up, before you go-go...") was burning up the airwaves…You? Well for some, designing and manufacturing a new, premium, ultra-soft, waterproof golf glove was top priority. Introducing StaSof! The StaSof golf glove was constructed with water repellant leather that had the ability to resist perspiration....Genious! Another neat element of the StaSof was the deep cut center vent, which served as a cooling feature. And check out those colors! Baby blue, lobster and canary? Who would have thought to pack all this technology into a golf glove and wrap it in some pastels? You guessed it….FJ, baby. The people at FootJoy pride themselves on delivering nothing but the finest products, because that’s what the golfer expects from us. It has been, and will always be, FootJoy's responsibility. We're obviously not burying StaSof, the #1 glove in golf, so we're asking about these eye-catching color options...would you buy them or should we bury them?

  • Hi Craig,

While we no longer offer StaSof in these lovely colors, we do offer SciFlex in an assortment of colors. Give those a try if you're looking to infuse some color in your wardrobe.

And to answer your question on the spikeless Classics...as Jim mentioned in his post "we are in no way sacrificing our position as the #1 Shoe in Golf, nor are we abandoning the premium performance footwear segment (including spikeless) or the highly stylized patterns and colors that FootJoy Classics have come to represent." We already have a new flagship product in production and hope to reveal it in the near future. It will provide features and benefits that embody “The best of FJ”:

    1. Finely tailored upper designs that include traditional and contemporary patterns

    2. The most premium performance materials

    3. Fashionable calfskin leather detailing

    4. Performance-infused spiked and spikeless outsoles

    5. Customization that allows for a seemingly endless amount of design and size options.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have additional questions.

  • Buy em, they are amazing.

  • I've been wearing FootJoy gloves for 30 years and certainly wore these colors back in the day. Retro is in and I think these would sell, especially to the younger players. Buy them!

  • I love the colored gloves.  Where can I get them?

Will you quit making the Classics Dry spikeless shoes as well? It is my favorite. I have them in every color, in addition to my other Classics. Please advise.

  • BUY THEM!!  Let's go retro and look like trevino and our heroes of the past.

  • Retro is nice in theory, but not in practice.  Roll them out if you wish, but prepare to take a loss.

  • I would definitely buy the red lobster color if you offered it in the WeatherSof line.

  • A low end \"classic\"? Nonsense!

  • I wear white, off-white, and black.  Pastels will not get my dollar.  Do you want to make money, or just have lots of cute gloves to sell at clearance prices?

  • I'd wear'm!!

And I'm a diehard white glove guy!!

    Live a little people!!!

  • Real men wear powder blue. Definitely buying them.

  • As a younger player, and after having spoken with some friends, I think that there are plenty of people that would buy this if you did release a retro line in 2010 or 2011.  IMO it's a neat concept.

    Preston

  • Definitely buy them !

Pastel yellow will be a hit no doubt.

  • These gloves look fantastic!

Please, please release them.. I think they would be one of the biggest fashion accessories in golf. I can just imagine Camilo Villegas or Ian Poulter wearing one of these.

Are these ever going to be released? Furthermore, I understand you have the Sciflex in an assortment of colors but these only provide an accent in a color rather than the whole glove being colored. Do you offer any fully colored gloves?

  • Get hem out in the market place on a trial basis. My bet is that you will get a pleasant surprise. They are great.
