The Masters is now less than a week away and, for many, that will hopefully help usher in Spring and the golf season. Inclement weather has been the story across the country and has really limited the number of rounds played for most avid golfers so far this season. Safe to say, this year more than most, we'll all be looking forward to the green jacket and Amen Corner, the azaleas and dogwoods and the beauty and drama of the season's first major championship.
So we want to know, have you ever attended the Masters in person? If so, tell us about your experience. Favorite memory, shot you remember, favorite hole and unique memories that defined your visit. Did you see the pros skipping balls off the pond at #16 during the practice
round? Try the pimento cheese sandwich? Watch the leaders play Amen Corner?
If you haven't been, what would you most like to see and experience?
A tradition unlike any other...
It's beginning to feel like Spring across the country with the snow having melted (in most places), warm temperatures, flowers coming up and the Masters about to get underway! With the players making final preparations before tomorrow's first round, we found some interesting sights out on the course. Several players have already worn our special limited edition "Masters-inspired" FJ ICON MyJoys (order yours here) and we're sure to see several others in this afternoon's Par 3 competition as well as during the tournament rounds. Keep an eye out for those as well as the new FJ ICON pattern that Ian Poulter will be wearing the next few days.
The last slide features my pick to win this week but let us know which FJ player you think will be wearing the green jacket on Sunday. As the #1 shoe at Augusta, there are plenty of players to choose from!
FJ players were out in force on Masters Thursday. Though the weather was expected to make an early tee time a must, afternoon players took advantage of the soft conditions and easier pin placements. All in all, a wonderful first day. Check out some highlight of FootJoy players and their shoe and glove choices.
