The former Alabama star made three consecutive birdies late in his final round to take the outright lead.   He capped it off with a clutch up and down on the final hole to lock up the victory.  Thomas's tournament record 26-under par total left him one stroke in front of fellow FJ Staffer Adam Scott (DryJoys Casual & StaSof) who closed with a final round 63.

Thomas relied on FJ ICON MyJoys and the Pure Touch Limited golf glove en route to his first PGA Tour victory.

"I just kept telling myself that it’s tough to win … we’re in a sport where the winning percentage isn’t in your favor, and I put myself there a bunch and I just need to keep doing so and moments like this can happen." said Thomas on his victory.

  • John Senden Wins at the Copperhead Course

    Add Comment

John Senden took home the Valspar Championship with a final round one under par 70 to win by one stroke over fellow FJ Staffer, Kevin Na.  Senden shot up the leaderboard thanks to a third round 64 that left him two shy of the 54 hole lead.

Senden's Sunday chase  began with a birdie on the opening hole. Conditions, then, toughened as the winds picked up making scoring even more difficult across the brutal Copperhead course. But out in one under par 34, Senden had a chance to take home the title.  To heighten his chances at victory, he birdied two of the three difficult holes that make up the course's "Snake Pit". Adding a long two putt for par at the last gave Senden the lead in the clubhouse that sustained despite the players still on the course.

No player could match the seven under par total giving John Senden his first PGA Tour Victory since 2006.

"If I could just stay in the moment, I knew I was swinging well enough to give it a shake," Senden said of his chances to win.

The Australian relied on FJ Icon golf shoes and the Pure Touch Limited glove en route to victory.

  • Stallings Edges the Field At Torrey Pines

    Add Comment

This Sunday at Torrey Pines, Scott Stallings shot a final round 68 to emerge victorious from a jam packed leaderboard.

Beginning the day three shots out of the lead on the coastal California course, Stallings birdied six of his last eleven holes to reach nine under par. This included a two putt birdie at the last hole to give him the lead. The only player who had an opportunity to catch Stallings was the Australian Marc Leishman. Needing eagle to tie, Leishman nearly holed his third shot on the par five last hole but had to settle for a tap in par and a T2 performance.  Canadian, Graham Delaet also finished the tournament in a tie for second.

Stallings relied on the all new D.N.A. golf shoe and Pure Touch Limited golf glove during his final round.  Leishman also relied on D.N.A. during his week in California.

This is Stallings third PGA Tour victory. The win also moves Stallings into the top 64 in the world, making him eligible for the WGC Accenture Match Play next month.

  • FJ Players Dominate Across the Globe!

    Add Comment

On the European Tour, Fedex Cup Champion and arguably the hottest player on the planet right now, Henrik Stenson blew away the field in the World Tour Championship in Dubai. Shooting a final-round 8-under 64, that included a tap in eagle at the final hole, giving the big Swede a six stroke victory.

Stenson has now become the first player to win the Race to Dubai and the Fedex Cup in the same season.

"I have managed to do something very, very special here this week by winning both in America and the Race to Dubai," adding, "It has been an incredible Summer for me, the Autumn in America was great, and now this...It has been a dream season," said Stenson following his win.

Stenson opted for FJ ICON and Pure Touch Limited throughout his successful season on both the PGA and European Tours.

    ----------------------

On the Australasian Tour, Masters Champion and world number two, Adam Scott continued his winning ways by winning for the second consecutive week at the Australian Masters.  Last year Scott won this tournament and claimed it gave him the confidence he needed to win the green jacket a few months later.

This year on a difficult wind-swept Royal Melbourne golf course Adam Scott shot rounds of 67-66-66-71, to place him at 14-under par two clear of his closest pursuant.

“I think it’s very hard to win two tournaments full stop, let alone back to back, so I’m quite pleased with myself this week," Adam stated post round.  “Sometimes you win a little bit ugly. All the good stuff I had done in the first three rounds counted for a lot, even though it wasn’t the prettiest golf today."

Adam Scott has been testing a new prototype FJ shoe and his trusted StaSof glove during his two wins in Australia.

  • Webb Simpson Wins the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open

    Add Comment

Webb SImpson ran away to a six stroke win at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.  Through the first three rounds, Webb stood at a staggering 19 under par, 4 strokes clear of his closest pursuant and fellow FJ Staffer, Chesson Hadley.

Simpson showed little remorse at the start of the final round, birdieing two of the first three holes to increase his lead. Turning in 32 strokes, Simpson had the tournament well in hand.  On the back nine, Simpson added three more birdies and a lone bogey to take home the title in an absolute masterful performance.

"As we were going kind of middle of the round, pins were tough, greens were drying out and I knew it would take a really special round for somebody to shoot 7, 8 under," Simpson said. "So, I felt like I was in control, and I asked my caddie, once I hit it on the green on 17 where we stood. And I was just thankful that I was able to kind of manage my golf ball the last couple rounds."

Webb relied on the FJ ICON golf shoe and Pure Touch Limited glove during his dominating performance.

  • Home of Golf Heaven for Howell

    Add Comment

David Howell celebrated his first European Tour title in seven years by beating Peter Uihlein in a sudden-death play-off at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

Howell wearing DryJoys Tour™ golf shoes and a SciFlex™ glove, carded a final round of 67 to set the clubhouse target at St Andrews and then watched as overnight leader Uihlein  (XPS-1™ & Pure Touch®) missed from 15 feet for a winning birdie on the 18th, meaning the pair finished tied on 23 under par.

Playing the first hole at St Andrews to begin the play-off, both players narrowly missed long birdie attempts but Howell, who had lost all four of his previous play-offs, made no such mistake from eight feet to claim the title and first prize of €589,561.

Uihlein began the day with a two-shot lead but a combination of a three-putt bogey at the first and a blistering start from France's Thomas Levet saw that instantly wiped out.

Levet (FJ ICON™) briefly led by two shots when he opened with five straight birdies and also picked up a shot on the seventh, but faded over the closing stretch and saw his hopes ended by driving out of bounds on the 14th. He did have the consolation of winning the pro-am competition however.

Howell’s victory at St. Andrews lifts him to the top of the European Ryder Cup Points List and to 12th on the Race to Dubai, guaranteeing qualification for the season finale DP World Tour Championship - where the Dubai resident will make his debut from the 14-17 November.

The 38 year old also jumps 82 places in the Official World Golf Rankings to 94.

"I have never played in an Open Championship here but to win a golf tournament as a professional at the Home of Golf is quite amazing and I am really thrilled” stated Howell.

"I was really nervous all week and strangely less nervous today - I can't explain that at all. I stayed calm and smooth under pressure and that was really pleasing”.
