Hello FJ Community,
The FJ shoe team has decided to revamp the MyJoys line so it features shoe styles you can find in our stock line-up. Their thought was, "If it's stock, it should also be customizable."
Included, among others, is the FJ ICON New Wave, made popular by Bubba Waston at this year's Masters Tournament, the FJ ICON Asymmetrical or Pyramid patterns worn by FJ Tour Ambassador, Hunter Mahan and a striking new FJ ICON shield tip often selected by current world number one, Luke Donald. With an expanding collection of styles and more than one million possible custom combinations, there's truly something for everyone!
All styles below are customizable at FootJoy.com/MyJoys
Now for the Ladies. Women's DryJoys with BOA has been added to the revamped line. We have also added FJ Sport, a very popular shoe amongst our LPGA Tour staff. Recent LPGA tour winner, Azahara Munoz opts for the FJ Sport BOA, another new option in the MyJoys line. For those fashionistas out there, the shield tip will be added to the MyJoys lineup on August 1, 2012.
In our latest installment of the FJ Tour Insider we are covering the Valero Texas Open. Brendan Steele hung tough to win here last year, parring the last eleven holes on his way to his lone PGA Tour victory. Many FJ players are in the field this week and we chose a couple of our favorite shots for your viewing pleasure.

The world's number one player, Luke Donald was a late entrant into the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Classic. He announced his entry via Twitter proposing his goal to win the season long PGA Tour money title. Already leading the European Tour Money list by $1.8 million over Rory McIlroy, Donald aimed to become the first player ever to win both money titles in the same calender year.
Luke's chances looked slim entering the final round five strokes off the 54-hole lead in 13th place. At the turn, he was still two strokes behind the current money leader Webb Simpson, but Donald (in FJ ICON MyJoys) pieced together a brilliant back nine to charge up the leaderboard. He ran in 6 straight birdies on the back nine, including a holed 45 foot putt on the par-3 15th to give himself a two stroke lead. With pars on his last three holes, Donald finished the tournament at 17 under. He was two strokes clear of the field with several players still on the course. All of those players; including Simpson, could not match the brilliant back nine of Donald as Simpson finished tied for 6th.
The win gave Donald his second PGA Tour victory of the year, his 14th top ten of the year, and the season long money race on the PGA Tour. Donald has five possible starts left on the European Tour for a chance to become the first player ever to win both money titles.
So Yeon Ryu (LoPro Collection and SciFlex) began the Monday finish in the U.S. Women's Open chasing clubhouse leader Hee Kyung Seo (Women's DryJoys and StaSof). Seo grasped the 3-under par clubhouse lead Sunday evening before play was suspended. Ryu, one stroke back, had 3 holes to make up a one shot difference. After pars on the first two holes, Ryu hit a brilliant 6 iron from 170 yards to 6 feet. She drained the putt to force a playoff against Seo.
The playoff was set for the three holes Ryu just played to finish her final round, "It was a big benefit for me to play those playoff holes early Monday morning to finish my forth round," Ryu later said of the playoff holes. She took advantage going par, birdie, birdie to win the playoff comfortably over Seo.
Seo, gracefully accepted defeat, "I feel very happy that a South Korean player won this great, big tournament."
This is So Yeon Ryu's first LPGA Victory.

PGA Tour rookie Brendan Steele; wearing custom FJ ICON shoes from the MyJoys program, emerged from a crowded leaderboard to win the Valero Texas Open for his first career victory on the PGA Tour. Carrying a 1-stroke lead into the final round Steele showed the steely grit of a PGA Tour veteran as he closed with a 1 under par 71. An early bogey on the 5th hole could have derailed the rookies chance as it dropped him into a three way tie for the lead. Showing poise and composure, Steele quickly bounced back making birdie on the 7th hole to retake the lead. Charley Hoffman would pull within 1 stroke of Steele after an eagle on the par-5 eighth; but ultimately it would not be enough to catch Steele, who would par the last 11 holes to finish off victorious.
