  • Stallings Edges the Field At Torrey Pines

    Add Comment

This Sunday at Torrey Pines, Scott Stallings shot a final round 68 to emerge victorious from a jam packed leaderboard.

Beginning the day three shots out of the lead on the coastal California course, Stallings birdied six of his last eleven holes to reach nine under par. This included a two putt birdie at the last hole to give him the lead. The only player who had an opportunity to catch Stallings was the Australian Marc Leishman. Needing eagle to tie, Leishman nearly holed his third shot on the par five last hole but had to settle for a tap in par and a T2 performance.  Canadian, Graham Delaet also finished the tournament in a tie for second.

Stallings relied on the all new D.N.A. golf shoe and Pure Touch Limited golf glove during his final round.  Leishman also relied on D.N.A. during his week in California.

This is Stallings third PGA Tour victory. The win also moves Stallings into the top 64 in the world, making him eligible for the WGC Accenture Match Play next month.

  • Lundberg Wins the Lyoness Open in Dramatic Fashion

    Add Comment

Mikael Lundberg won the Lyoness Open thanks to a holed 40-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole to clip fellow FJ Staffer Bernd Wiesberger in the sudden death format.

Lundberg grabbed the early tournament lead with rounds of 67 and 68, then struggled with a 76 on the third day to fall six back.  His final round began with birdies on four of the first five holes, shooting up the leaderboard in the process.  Lundberg then made four more birdies in a five hole stretch on the back nine to set the lead in the clubhouse at 12 under par.

"Today just started off really well on the first couple of holes. I made some really nice putts that changed the whole attitude," said Lundberg.

Hometown favorite, Bernd Wiesberger matched the 12 under par total and the players headed to the playoff.  Wiesberger grasped the early advantage on the par-3 18th by striking his approach to 18 feet.  Lundberg's settled a lengthy 40 feet from the cup, which he then holed for a birdie two. Wiesberger could not match the birdie giving Lundberg his first victory since 2008.

Lundeberg relied on the all new D.N.A. golf shoe and the SciFlex glove en route to victory.
